CONTACTS FOR FIELD CLOSURE INFORMATION
Follow @L30FIELDS on Twitter
@l30fields is not the official medium used by UYSA of closure notification - it is a tool we use to spread the word as quickly as possible to our players and their parents.
If a League 30 home game field is going to be closed for the evening, we try to make the call by 3:00 pm. After that, the determination will be made at the field.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR GAME CANCELLATIONS
The only guideline set by UYSA is to cancel a game when lightning is present.
UYSA states that a team, coach, manager, players, parents, etc. cannot cancel a game.
A field may remain open during a snow storm or it may be closed when not raining at all.
A center referee may cancel a game, but only at the game. All other cancellations come from UYSA.
Each field has a its own owner. Some examples of this would be a school district, a city government, a county government etc. It is up to each of these owners to decide if their field will be open for play or not. Some are very organized and make decisions very quickly, Some are not very organized and its difficult to get an answer about a field being open or not.
As the information is relayed to UYSA from each field owner, an email is sent out to coaches and managers of the teams affected. Those parties will, in turn, notify the parents and players on their teams.
